Tommie Pearce, 74, a resident of Kittrell, passed away on Friday, November 13, 2020 at Duke University Hospital. Born in Vance County on January 25, 1946, he was the son of the late Charlie Pearce and Burline Perry Pearce Bryant, and was the widower of Laura Raines Pearce. He was retired from Ranes Heating and Cooling. A private graveside service will be held Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Sunset Gardens by David Lowman. He is survived by one daughter, Joanie Dickerson (Jeff) of Kittrell; one son, Steve Edwards of Kittrell; two sisters, Mildred P. Hood (Eldred) of Zebulon, Janice Faye P. Carpenter of Wake Forest; three brothers, Jimmy Pearce of Zebulon, Bobby Glenn Pearce (Doris) of Louisburg, and Terry Lyon Bryant of Bunn; three grandchildren, Marianne Murchison, Cameron Dale Talley, and David Edwards; two great grandchildren, David Lowman and Peyton Hunt; and special friends, Margie and Wayne Pendergrass. In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by three children, Marsha Hansen, David Edwards, and Rodney Edwards; and four brothers, Jerry Wayne Pearce, Donald Earl Pearce, Donnie Ray Pearce, and Charles Pearce. The family will be at the home of Jeff and Joanie Dickerson at 169 Rocky Ford Road for those that would like to visit. The family request that those who visit please wear face coverings and observe social distancing.
