HENDERSON-Mary Elizabeth Abbott Marks, 91, a resident of Senior Citizens Home, died Friday, November 06, 2020, at Maria Parham Health. Born in Vance County on December 29, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Wilton Hartwell Abbott and Hannah Harrell Abbott, and was the widow of Melvin Lee Marks. Graveside funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at 11:00AM at Elmwood Cemetery by Minister Joseph Buchanan. She is survived by one sister, Diana A. Ross (Travis) of Henderson; her sister-in-law, Mary Bell Abbott of Henderson; and her brother-in-law, Edwin Poythress of Rocky Mount. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Margaret A. Damerson and Janet A. Poythress; and one brother, Hartwell Abbott. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Herald of His Coming, PO Box 279, Seelyville, IN 47878 or Discovering The Jewish Jesus, PO Box 777 Bliss Field, MI 49228-9902.
