Bruce Yarborough

HENDERSON-Bruce David Yarborough, 52, a resident of Henderson, died Thursday, July 30, 2020, at his home. Born in Haywood County on February 3, 1968 he was the son of Barbara Bishop Yarborough of Waynesville and the late Charles David Yarborough. Bruce was a veteran of the United States Marines Corps, where he was an accomplished marksman and graduated with honors. He was also a musician and songwriter who once played at the Writer’s Round at the Bluebird Cafe in Nashville, TN., and was formerly employed with the Gibson Guitar Company. A private celebration of life will be held by the family. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife Pamela Newman Yarborough of the home; two daughters, Cheyenne Yarborough of Nashville, TN and Elizabeth Yarborough of Norlina; one sister, Amy Duncan (Randy) of Greensboro; his maternal grandmother, Doris Bishop of Waynesville; his nephew, Ezekiel Duncan; his mother-in-law, Thelma Newman; his brother-in-law, Jimmy Newman; his sister-in-law, Beverly Averette of Henderson; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one brother, Paul Yarborough.
