Deloris Perkinson "Dee" Lambert, 84, a resident of Henderson, died Sunday, July 28, 2019, at Maria Parham Health. Born on July 11, 1935 in Vance County, she was the daughter of the late Oscar Edwin "O.E."Perkinson and Mozelle Watkins Perkinson, and was the widow of John Dennis Lambert. Dee retired in 1997 as an Administrative Assistant for the Veterans Administration Office where she worked for more than 30 years. She was a member of West End Baptist Church where she was a member of the Nelson-Jenkins Sunday School Class, W.M..U. and a former member of the choir. She was a member of B.P.W. of which she was a past president and was honored as it’s Woman of the Year in 1979. Dee enjoyed playing golf in the Kerr Lake County Club Thursday evening Twilight League. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 am at West End Baptist Church by the Rev. Ralph McGowan. Burial will follow in the Union Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery. She is survived by two sons, Dennis W. Lambert (Suzanne) and Terry D. Lambert (Karen) of Henderson; four grandchildren, Heather L. Elliott (Allen), Katie L. Farrell (Tom), Taylor B. Lambert, and Zachary E. Lambert (Amber); three great grandchildren. Leighton Farrell, Matti Elliott, and Heidi Lambert. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles Perkinson, and Jerry Perkinson. The family will receive friends Tuesday night from 7 until 8:30 pm at J. M. White Funeral. At other times they will be at the home of Dennis and Suzanne Lambert, 1437 Peace Street. Serving as pall bearers will be Zach Lambert, Taylor Lambert, Allen Elliott, Keith Adcock, Craig Brame, and Fred Lemmond. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made The Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8517.
