HENDERSON- Kaye Hale Harris, 76, of 2275 Ruin Creek Road, died Thursday, March 28, 2019 at a local nursing home. Born in Vance County on October 12, 1942, she was the daughter of the late James Percy Hale and Beulah Reavis Hale. Mrs. Harris was retired from E.O. Young, Jr. Elementary School where she worked as a teacher’s assistant for 20 years. She was also a well-known hairdresser in the community. She was a member of Cokesbury United Methodist Church. A memorial service will be held Monday, April 1, 2019 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of J.M. White Funeral Home by Rev. Marshall Neathery. Mrs. Harris is survived by her daughter, Angela R. Satterwhite and husband Bill of Oxford; her son, Carlston H. Harris, Jr. and wife Michelle of Louisburg; five grandchildren, Kayla Satterwhite, Mattison Satterwhite, Lucas Satterwhite, Taylor Harris and Tripp Harris; her brother, Jimmy Hale and wife Gail; and two nieces, Ellen Wright and husband Chad, and Kristy Whitley and husband Teddie. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carlston Hardy Harris, Sr. The family will receive friends at the home of Angela and Bill Satterwhite, 228 Saddletree Road, Oxford, NC 27565. The family would like to thank the staff of Senior Citizen’s Nursing Home for their loving care for the last nine years. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Island Creek Baptist Church, 950 Stagecoach Road, Henderson, NC 27537 or Louisburg Baptist Church, PO Box 730, Louisburg, NC 27549.
