HENDERSON-Charles Montgomery Dennison, 94, a resident of 858 Eastside Drive, died Tuesday, June 13, 2017, in a local nursing home. Born in Knoxville, TN on October 1, 1922, he was the son of the late Roy Dennison and Laura Brown Dennison, and was the widower of Allie Mae Reaves Dennison. Charles was a 20 year retired Veteran of the United States Army. After his retirement from the Army he worked as a Security Guard at Kennametal, and was a member of North Henderson Baptist Church. Graveside funeral services with Military Honors will be held Saturday at 11 am at Sunset Gardens by the Rev. Ralph E McGowan. He is survived by three daughters, Mona Kittrell of Henderson, Brenda Stilley of Carrollton, GA, and Shirley Duke of Henderson; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; and one great-great-great grandchild. In addition to his wife he was preceded in death by a son, Jimmy Dennison; two brothers, George Dennison and John Dennison; and five sisters, Lillie Dennison, Mary Ivey, Edith Ivey, Mildred McCoig and Pauline Renson. The family will receive friends at his home on Eastside Drive on Thursday from 11:00 AM till 2:00 PM and Friday from 5:00 PM till 8:00 PM
